Hi, I'm Chandler

Hi, I'm Chandler, the person behind Studio Pierson. My About page covers the basics: what I do and who I do it for. But if we're going to work together on something as personal as your brand, it feels right that you know a little more about me too.

So grab a coffee, tea, or matcha. Here's the longer version.

How Studio Pierson started

I have always been a "computer girl." From obsessing over how to style my AIM profile to over-editing photos on Picnik, I was always intrigued by how colors, fonts, and photos work together. I took my first graphic design class in high school and joined the yearbook as a layout editor. That's where I first learned the Adobe Creative Suite, and I was hooked. My proudest moment of those years was designing our yearbook cover senior year.

In college, I started out studying early education and special education, but it didn't take long to remember my passion for design.

After college, I traveled with my husband and freelanced on the side of my 9 to 5. I worked for a construction company and a boutique agency in New York, and then, nine years later, I took a leap of faith and started Studio Pierson.

Today Studio Pierson is a one-woman studio in Connecticut. I do brand identity, websites, social content, print, and wedding stationery. I'm a generalist on purpose. I love that one week I'm building a logo and the next I'm on set for a shoot.

Life outside the studio

Home is Connecticut, and a lot of my favorite clients are right here in town or just down the road. When I'm not at my desk, you'll find me out on a walk, stopping for an iced coffee, or hitting up the local hardware store for my latest home renovation project.

I also run a little Etsy shop called TYPE and TONIC, where I sell Canva templates for weddings and celebrations. It started as a passion project during my maternity leave with my first child, and it's still one of my favorite creative outlets.

How I like to work

Most of my clients have been with me for years, and that's not an accident. I'd rather be the designer you text when something comes up than the one you hire once and forget.

Working with a solo studio means you work with me, start to finish. No handoffs, no account managers. I keep pricing flat for each project so there are no surprises, and when a project needs more hands, like a video shoot, I bring in trusted collaborators I've worked with for a long time.

Most of all, I want your brand to look like you. Not a trend, not a template. That's what lets me thoughtfully create something unique for every client. There's no one-size-fits-all here!
