WEDDING SUITE / KALMIA GARDENS, CT

Jodie + Hunter

An October garden wedding, printed in forest green and terracotta.

Jodie and Hunter were getting married outside on the lawn in the middle of October, and the suite had to promise that before anyone read a word of it. Deep forest green cardstock, botanical line work traced along the edge, cream ink that reads soft instead of stark. The moment the envelope opened, guests knew where they were going.

The details card flipped the palette to terracotta and kept the same florals, so the two pieces read as a pair without repeating themselves. Green and rust carried all the way through to the day, where the dahlias, zinnias, and marigolds picked up the exact same notes.

Day-of, the signage went quiet on purpose. Ivory, letterspaced, unfussy. A welcome to the ceremony, a s'mores bar, a signature drink, menus at every place setting. Set beside an armful of autumn florals, each sign had a job to do and a garden to stay out of the way of.

And one sign had a different job. A toast for the ones we lost along the way. It sat in the same ivory and the same type as everything else, because a moment like that does not need to be dressed up. It just needs to be there, in the room, said out loud.

The pieces: Invitation · Details Card · RSVP Card · Envelopes · Unplugged Ceremony Sign · S'mores Bar Sign · Signature Drink Sign · Memorial Toast Sign · Place Setting Menus

EVENT BRANDING / WEDDING PLANNERS COLLECTIVE

Golden Hour Social

Print for a room full of people who notice everything.

The Wedding Planners Collective brought the industry to the Bruynswick Inn in Wallkill, New York, for an evening built around one idea: connection. Planners, photographers, florists, and venue teams, all in one place, all of them professionally incapable of not looking closely at your paper.

The identity ran on citrus and oysters. Sun-washed peach and coral, hand-drawn spritz glasses, orange slices, and oyster shells, all pulled from the food and drink that were actually being served. Coasters carried the event mark on one side and stay for another round on the other. Recipe cards let guests take the drink home. The welcome sign set the tone at the entrance and the partners sign gave every vendor in the room their credit in print.

Then it went off the page entirely. The Vendy Bar rolled in a sticker vending machine, and the illustrations became something guests could put in their pocket. Built for connection went home in a kraft sleeve with a few hundred people who plan weddings for a living.

How it all started

What began with helping my sister design her wedding signs in Connecticut quickly turned into a love for blending type, illustration, and joyful storytelling. I design custom stationery for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, and celebrations of all kinds — for clients across Connecticut and beyond.

A bar counter with a framed sign promoting a spicy Margarita drink, which includes a drawing of a glass with ice and a straw, and ingredients listed as tequila, triple sec, jalapeño, agave, lime, and Tajín. There are bottles, glasses, a plant in a gold vase, and a blurred background of shelves with bottles.
